I have a question i have my prep and the back jump but i keep landing on my side how to i fix that?
I'm trying to do this with my flyer! Thanks for sharing
I’m so proud of the work my awesome friend Lortiz and her teammates did at the competition. This was super helpful. Way to go coach!
She did so well!
I’m in pain. I’m 5”11 and shorter muscles are easier to work with.
All muscles can respond
In the example of the back handspring that was not good, the problem was from the beginning. You talked in your video about the block in the after the jump, however, the jump and the body position and angle are essential in the preflight. That's even more important in my opinion because if you do that wrong, then the rest of the back handspring is going to be wrong. Pushing back, having the right angle, extending and having the right body position and snap in that first flight is essential because it allows you to set yourself up to block and snap to the hollow position in the second part of the back handspring.
Worst training program I’ve ever done. Haphazard structure and design with too much volume. Lots of better and cheaper programs out there.
Awesome
This seems like a paid advertisement that i was not properly informed of… if so, I believe that’s illegal
Well since it isn’t. Then you weren’t. So it isn’t. And who are you?
@@DrTravisOwens i just wanted a better review of the actual product, not just look at it go twirl up close rq… That shit literally was spinning like it has a motor in it and im confused on how that works
@b1gm0n3y oh. That makes sense. Sorry I was thrown off by the assumption of criminal activity. At the time of the video I hadn’t used the rope yet. Later that day when trying it out for the first time, I was able to string together 100 double unders unbroken which was a surprise for sure. As far as the spinning; the handles seem to have a very well designed bearing system and extremely well balanced handle that allows for very little friction leading to smooth rotation will little effort given.
@@DrTravisOwens i would hardly consider it criminal activity but you have to admit that it looks like an advertisement that the company paid for. when i was first commenting it only had one like and one comment, both from the actual company which raised my suspicion even more
Thank you Dr. Owens! Just starting up a S&C program for cheer, extremely helpful presentation!
Awesome! Happy to help! Wishing you great success with the new program.
😍😍😍
“The braces made my teeth hurrrrtt”….Sounds like this guy is a complete puss.
Amazing!!
Thanks!!
Nice series gents!! My favorite benchmark WOD is Grace!!
That’s definitely a good choice!
Great episode!
Thank you so much for watching!
Burpees!!! 🙌🏽😁🙌🏽
Love me some Burpees!
Thanks for such a great breakdown of this workout…so helpful. Week highlight: Loved cheering on awesome and strong humans during the API assessment!
I think one more thing that is important is the jump. A jump on a backhandspring is rather backwards than going upwards.
I highly advise not buying aligners from Candid. My personal experience with them has been a nightmare. This company just tries to make a quick buck with no regard to customer care/service. I have been asking for replacement aligners for months and nobody in customer service can help at all. I was only given a number to the office I purchased the aligners from and the phone number goes to a completely different company that knows nothing about Candid aligners. The Smile Store's website doesn't even work! Go with a different aligner company unless you don't care about good customer service.
Never Realized The Insane Athleticism
My hands go wide while doing continuous back handsprings
I've never warmed up, just like I never liked training BJJ in a GI. In real life you're not going to have time to warm up and you need to go from 0-60. All gas, no breaks baby!
If your pro lgbt then yes you should be pro this and whatever else that comes out. You all wanted to redefine morality, well here you go hypocrites.
What are some alternatives if we don’t have a pipe?
Broom stick
10 years of hip pain and I did not know my tibia 🦴 was stuck in external rotation. Because of my ankle restrictions. Years of pain and you helped me out. Thank you so much for this video. I’m not even in cheer lol it looks amazing. Just simple walking hurt me but this helped a lot. Thank you so much
So Happy it helped you!
So helpful for my daughter who is a new mini flyer this year. Thanks!
Every human is stronger in their pecs, it’s not something that developed per say. It’s just an anatomical fact. Same happens with people training shoulders. Our bodies are designed for the pecs to want to take over and help . Anyway, that doesn’t change your good recommendation of handstand training. It’s another reason we arch from weakness just like when athletes do over head presses. Arching changes the angle and allows is to include the pecs some.

I can't really focus. You're too handsome. Haha. On a sidenote, I didnt want to risk waiting money on what wouldn't work properly on me so I chose Invisalign. I only paid $2250 out of pocket and got to them from my general dentist who also studied orthodontic care.
My issue is i don’t jump before I tuck I just go and I can’t seem to fix it
Are you still in cheer or are you only focusing on crossfit now?
I’ve taken a break from fully hands on coaching cheer, but I’m still working with athletes and coaches on a smaller level.
Good demo, but how and where do I need to place may hand as a base? I think that's the essential part.
on her booty
On her hips
im sorry, i bet your teeth are beautiful now and Candid is the bestest. - the sugar baby of a Candid saleswoman
This mainly happens in my roundoff tuck I’ll see if this helps!
same I got mine 1 day ago :)
Thx it helps
Very useful video ,thank you so much
started well... but ended up too early 🙂
I have issues with jumping power.
thanksss
I got prescribed them by my orthodontist and they couldn’t achieve my results I’m upset. So much money blown. My teeth weren’t even that bad, and still aren’t but one of the main reasons I wanted the aligners was for this specific problem and they “can’t” fix it.
thankyou so much !
I’m working on my bhs tysm. I have this problem in my standing but not round off.
Dude, I’m beginning my fitness journey, and I LOVE ROWING. I’m starting out with 30 min rows shooting for 5,000m. I have a disability and am starting pretty dang weak, but I want to see how strong I can get. I admire Matt’s mindset, and hope to try out his program when I get an established routine.
i have competition in a weekkkk it’s my first time , i’m trying to know how to not keep falling hopefully this will help me
What drills can I do to stop my head from looking back when I start my bhs? I noticed I’ve been doing it recently and my bhs have gotten bad
I recommend trying to keep ur head forward while u do the jumping for mm of a bhs but land on ur back and keep trying until your head becomes comfortable.
you are not just a tumbling coach but a tumble doctor. Respect from INDIA.
What has been your favorite / most affective program you’ve followed ? From a competitive stand point
Definitely this. Comptrain was my programming forever and this definitely overtook the lead
